We report a confirmation of the Gaia Science Alert transient Gaia15abn. Images obtained through the U, G, and R filters of the MAIA instrument installed on the 1.2m Mercator telescope at Roque de los Muchachos on February 13-15, 2015 show a bright blue source approximately 9′′ NW of galaxy SDSS J142637.26+240304.4. The new source is not present in archival SDSS images. MAIA G band 200×200pix cutout image is provided (the scale is 0.276 arcsec/pix). The proximity of the source to the galaxy makes it a likely supernova.
