We report spectroscopic classification of iPTF14awe (= MASTER OT J172145.92+694914.1) in the galaxy Kazarian 654 = PGC 2732472, discovered by the iPTF (ATel#4807) and independently reported by MASTER in ATel#6130. The transient was observed with the ALFOSC spectrograph at the Nordic Optical Telescope on 2014 May 14.15 UT. The spectrum confirms iPTF14awe to be a Type Ia supernova. We used SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) to identify the SN and we find that the spectrum of iPTF14awe is consistent with a normal Type Ia supernova at 16 days after maximum. Preliminary analysis of the spectrum of iPTF14awe shows the Si II line (observed at 6420A) blue-shifted at 10^4 km/s.
