We obtained an optical spectrum (range 350-870 nm) of AT2019np, discovered by Koichi Itagaki, on UT 2019 Jan. 10.7 with the Li-Jiang 2.4 m telescope (LJT+YFOSC) at Li-Jiang Observatory of Yunnan Observatories. The spectrum is consistent with that of a type Ia supernova at the early phase after the explosion. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) shows that it matches with SN 1999cp at t = -14 days from the maximum light. Given a recession velocity of 1794 km/s for the host galaxy NGC 3254, an expansion velocity of about 16000 km/s can be derived from the absorption minimum of Si II 6355. A dip at the redder wing of Si II 6355 can be contributed to the absorption of C II 6580 at the similar velocity.
