We report optical spectroscopic observation of supernova candidate SN 2016guc UT 2016-10-19.23 with OSMOS (range 398-686 nm) mounted on the MDM 2.4m telescope at KPNO. The target was discovered by SNHunt (http://nesssi.cacr.caltech.edu/catalina/current.html), id SNhunt325. We used SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) to identify the type and phase of the SN spectra.
The spectrum matches to normal type Ia supernova near one week post-maximum light.
