We have observed a recent NIR flare of the intermediate redshift Blazar OJ287 (z=0.3). On October 26th, 2016, we determined the flux in the H band to be 11.009 +/- 0.02. That is 1 magnitude brighter than the flux determined for this object by our team on JD 2457497. Recent activity of this object had been reported previously in Atel #9629 and #9650. Observations were carried out with the 2.1m telescope of the Guillermo Haro Observatory operated by the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (Mexico), equipped with the instrument CANICA a NIR camera. We encourage further multi wavelength coverage.
