The Asiago Transient Classification Program (Tomasella et al. 2014, AN, 335, 841) reports the spectroscopic observation of MASTER OT J073857.06+182648.2 discovered by MASTER robotic Net (ATel #8423).

The observation was performed with the Asiago 1.82 m Copernico Telescope (+AFOSC; range 340-820 nm; resolution 1.35 nm).

Name | Discovery Date | Obs. Date UT | Type | Notes
MASTER OT J073857.06+182648.2| 20151217.02 | 20151218.03 | CV | (1)

(1) The spectrum shows a very blue continuum with an unresolved Halpha emission line and absorption features associated to Balmer Hbeta, Hgamma and Hdelta lines at rest wavelength. The object is therefore not a supernova but most likely a Galactic CV variable.
