The Asiago Transient Classification Program (Tomasella et al. 2014, AN, 335, 841) reports the spectroscopic observation of two probable SNe, ASASSN-15ug and ASASSN-15uh (ATEL #8436).
The observation was performed with the Asiago 1.82 m Copernico Telescope (+AFOSC; range 340-820 nm; resolution 1.4 nm).
Name | Discovery UT | Obs. Date UT | z | Type | Phase |Notes
ASASSN-15ug | 20151218.34 | 20151218.94 | | ? | | (1)
ASASSN-15uh | 20151218.50 | 20151219.13 | 0.0135 | Ia-Pec | pre-max | (2)
(1) The low S/N spectrum shows a blue featureless continuum consistent with different types of core-collapse SNe at early phase.
(2) Best match with the bright type Ia SN 1998es, 10 days before B-band maximum light.
Classification were done with GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A&A, 488,
383) and SNID (Blondin and Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024). The Asiago classification
spectra are posted at the website http://sngroup.oapd.inaf.it.
