Photometry around the maximum light of the probable nova in M31 designated PNV J00415937+4117026 (see CBAT TOCP) was obtained with the 0.65-m telescope at Ondrejov yielding the following magnitudes:
2015 Oct. 4.066 UT, R = 15.46 ± 0.09; 4.762, R = 15.26 ± 0.08; 5.731, R = 15.35 ± 0.06; 5.826, V = 15.83 ± 0.08.
The value R = 15.26 corresponds to absolute mag MR = -9.2 (adopting a distance modulus μ = 24.46 for M31) which puts the object in a group of luminous novae.
Additional observations of this luminous nova candidate are encouraged.
