We report the discovery with INTEGRAL IBIS-ISGRI of five new hard X-ray sources in the Circinus region
in an ultra-deep mosaic image (20-60 keV) targeted at radio pulsar PSR B1509-58.
The observations (archival and open time) have been performed between 2003, February 28 and
2005, March 3, totalling an exposure time of about 2.5 Ms at our main target.
Positional and flux information of these new INTEGRAL sources, all with a detection significance >6 sigma, is given in the table below along with the names of potential (low-energy) counterparts found within the 90% confidence-level error circles.
Further X-ray and optical observations to identify these new sources are encouraged.
