We obtained a low-resolution optical spectrum (range 3400-9500 Angs.; resolution ~8.5 Angs.) of ASASSN-15og (ATel #7912) on UT August 19.3 with the du Pont telescope (+ B&C) at Las Campanas Observatory. The spectrum of ASASSN-15og shows a blue continuum, intermediate and narrow width Balmer lines in emission, and other broad spectral features at rest wavelengths 4600 Angs. and 5000-6000 Angs. The spectrum is similar to the Type Ia-CSM/Type IIn SN 2005gj (e.g., Prieto et al. 2007). Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) shows that the spectrum of ASASSN-15og is most similar to SN 2005gj at ~20 days after peak.
