We observed a continued brightening of the blazar S4 0954+65 emission reported by Stanek et al. (ATel #7001) and Carrasco et al. (ATel #6996). Observations were carried out with the 1-meter Zeiss-1000 telescope of SAO RAS in R band. The object became 1.5 magnitudes brighter in comparison with the other maxima observed during our 13 years monitoring (for example, the peak on 2002.03.18, see the table below) and the light curve reported by Larionov et al., ATel #3220.
The measurements are presented in the following table.
Date | JD | R_mag +/- err |
2002.03.18 | 2452351.330 | 15.18 +/- 0.03 |
2014.11.20 | 2456982.600 | 16.73 +/- 0.01 |
2014.12.20 | 2457012.636 | 16.13 +/- 0.01 |
2015.01.15 | 2457035.560 | 15.79 +/- 0.01 |
2015.01.20 | 2457043.488 | 16.31 +/- 0.01 |
2015.02.10 | 2457064.473 | 13.95 +/- 0.01 |
2015.02.11 | 2457065.606 | 13.48 +/- 0.07 |
This behaviour was also confirmed in NIR by Carrasco et al. (ATel #7046). We encourage monitoring of this event.
