We report on radio observations of the candidate tidal disruption event DES14C1kia (ATel #6877; ATel #6887) with the CSIRO Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA).

We observed the position of DES14C1kia in two 2.5 hr intervals spaced by 12 hr, and centered on 2015 January 11.93 UT. These observations were hence carried out approximately 62 days following the detection of the transient in the Dark Energy Survey. Data were recorded in two 2 GHz bands centered on 5.5 and 9 GHz, with the ATCA in its most extended 6A configuration. No emission was detected in either band at the position of the transient. We set 3-sigma flux density upper limits of 30 micro-Jy and 45 micro-Jy in the 5.5 and 9 GHz bands respectively.

We thank the ATCA staff for the rapid scheduling of these observations.
