We observed the bright transient ASASSN-14jv on BVR CCD images taken on 2014 Nov. 9.78 UT with the 1.02-m Ritchey-Chretien telescope at Konkoly Observatory, Piszkesteto, Hungary. The transient is located at R.A. = 18h53m28s.81, Decl. = +42d03'42".8 (+/- 0".2; equinox 2000.0). The estimated brightness is B = 10.7 +/- 0.2 mag, V = 11.3 +/- 0.2 mag, R = 11.9 +/- 0.2 mag tied to USNO B1.0 magnitudes.
