Following its posting on the Transient Objects Confirmation Page, we requested observations of PSN J00150875-3912501 in NGC 55 (see ATEL#6548) with Swift's Ultraviolet/Optical Telescope (UVOT). Observations began 2014-10-07 05:21:47 UT. The following UVOT magnitudes were measured: v = 17.30 +/- 0.13 (152 s exposure time), b = 17.58 +/- 0.08 (228 s), u = 16.91 +/- 0.12 (228 s), uvw1 [181-321nm] = 18.02 +/- 0.27 (221 s), uvm2 [166-268 nm] > 18.9 (774 s), and uvw2 [112-264 nm] > 18.4 (152 s). These magnitudes are reduced using the method outlined for the Swift Optical Ultraviolet Supernova Archive (SOUSA; Brown et al 2014, Ap&SS, in press, arXiv:1407.3808) on the Swift/UVOT photometric system (Poole et al. 2008, Breeveld et al. 2011). Adopting a Cepheid distance modulus of 26.434 +/- 0.037 (Gieren et al. 2008) results in an absolute magnitude of M_V = -9.13 +/- 0.14.
