iPTF Discovery of an Apparent Nova in M31

The intermediate Palomar Transient Factory (ATel #4807) report the discovery of an apparent nova in M31, iPTF13ech, at RA = 00:44:31.97, Dec = +41:34:25.0. This optical transient was first detected on UT Nov 25.3, 2013 at magnitude R=19.6, and brightened to R=19.3 on UT Nov 26.2. Nothing was there at this location on UT Nov 13, and previous iPTF images (typically nightly observations), with typical limiting magnitudes R~21 mag.
