With reference to ATels #5597 and #5598, we confirm that the outburst state of BL Lacertae detected in the optical and UV bands is also observable in the near-infrared.

Observations carried out with the Carlos Sanchez Telescope at the Teide Observatory in the framework of the GASP-WEBT collaboration showed J=10.38, H=9.42, and Ks=8.52 on 2013 November 21.9 UT. This level is about 2.5 mag brighter than the minimum we observed at the end of 2012 and about 0.2 mag brighter than the maximum we reported in ATel #4277.
