Continuous X-ray monitoring by Swift of Nova Del 2013 (see CBET #3628) shows an increase of X-ray emission at the source location compared to previous observations (ATEL #5283, ATEL #5305) during a 3.9 ksec observation at UT 2013-08-22 12:05. With the XRT instrument operating in window timing mode, 744 counts were extracted from a 50 pixel long source region and 324 counts from a similar box for a background region, resulting in a 13-sigma detection with a net count rate of 0.11±0.008 counts/sec. The spectrum can be fit using a blackbody+power-law model with PhotonIndex=3.8±0.3 and kT=3±3 keV with a chi2/dof of 59/40. The flux in the 0.3-10 keV energy range is 2.83e-12 erg/cm2/s. We thank the Swift PI, Neil Gehrels, and the Swift mission operations team for scheduling these observations.
