We report that a spectrum of PSN J22022184-1855004, from the CBAT unconfirmed objects page: http://www.cbat.eps.harvard.edu/unconf/followups/J22022184-1855004.html was obtained with FLOYDS on Faulkes Telescope South on UT Aug. 11.56 2013. The spectrum reveals it to be a Type Ia supernova approximately a week before maximum light, with a redshift consistent with that of the host galaxy, NGC 7183 (z=0.088). The supernova is approximately magnitude 15.7, corresponding to an absolute magnitude of -17.2, so may be underluminous and/or reddened. This is consistent with its position in the peculiar S0 galaxy.
