We report optical detections of PNV J00414954+4104027 in July-Aug 2011 on PTF. It was reported by Hornoch et al. (ATel #5257) to be likely a LPV rather than a new nova in M31, given its red color, slow brightening from June 27 to Aug 5 2013, and optical detection in Aug 2007. The object was detected on 15 PTF R-band images taken from July 24, 2011 to Aug 20, 2011 UT, with R=19.5+/-0.3 mag. The PTF light curve during this period is flat within 0.3 mag. PTF detections in 2011 further confirm that it is not a nova, but a LPV in M31.
