MASTER OT J051415.56+671120.3 - new bright CV
MASTER-Amur auto-detection system discovered OT source at (RA, Dec) = 05h 14m 15.56s +67d 11m 20.3s on 2013-03-25.51045 UT. The OT unfiltered magnitude is 14.3m (limit 17.5m). The OT is seen in 2 images. There is no minor planet at this place. We have reference image without OT on 2012-12-11.63124 UT with unfiltered magnitude limit 18.3m.
The object is not present in 1RXS, GALEX, USNO-B1.0, GSC, 2MASS, GCVS and AAVSO VSX. This area of sky in Camelopardalis is not covered by SDSS. No previous outbursts were detected by Catalina Sky Survey and on 3 Palomar/NEAT images of 2002 Sep. 23. Nothing is visible at this position on 9 Palomar plates taken in 1954-1996 and on their combination to the limiting magnitude ~22.
Color-combined (BRIR) DSS finder chart is uploaded to http://master.sai.msu.ru/static/OT/J051415+671120-BRIR5x5.jpg
Based on the outburst amplitude (at least 7m) we conclude that MASTER OT J051415.56+671120.3 is a new cataclysmic variable, most likely a dwarf nova of UGWZ (WZ Sge) subtype.
Follow up observations are required.
