with the TAROT La Silla telescope
A. Klotz report the discovery of a
supernova candidate located at R.A. = 03h33m36.1s,
Decl. = -36o07'34" (equinox 2000.0),
which is offset of 3" W and 52" N from the
nucleus of NGC 1365. The image was unfiltered
and magnitude ~15.8.
The presence of the candidate is confirmed
by E. Conseil with the 0.5m Slooh Space Camera
robotic telescope (Canaria island).
Unfiltered magnitude ~16.0 at the date 2012 October 27.125.
The supernova does not appear in an image
taken 2012 Oct. 24.05 (limiting mag 15.8) neither in an
image taken 2012 Oct. 19.37 (limiting mag 19.2).
Due to the apparent magnitude and the distance of the
host galaxy, the supernova should in a very early stage
and could reach magnitude 12 in the next days.
