Spectra obtained Oct 31 and Nov 2 2012 (UTC) of SN2012fr (PSN J03333599-3607377, ATels #4523,4525,4535) show strong detached High Velocity Si II absorption features at 19000 km/s. The photospheric Si II component is found at 14000 km/s, making the Si II 6355 AA feature clearly "w"-shaped in the Nov 2 spectrum. We also detect possible C II 6580 AA absorption in both spectra, and High Velocity Ca II H&K and infrared triplet absorption at >20000 km/s. Observations were made by the Nearby Supernova Factory II (http://snfactory.lbl.gov) using our SuperNova Integral Field Spectrograph (Aldering et al 2002, SPIE, 4836, 61) on the University of Hawaii 2.2-meter telescope.
