Swift Galactic Plane Survey: Sourcelist v2.0

The Swift Galactic Plane Survey team report the detection of 271 point-like X-ray sources (0.3 - 10
keV) in observations covering the next 35% of our survey area (now 60% complete; the first increment
of sources, 140 detections in the first 25% of the survey area, may be found in Atel #3951). The
listed sources are those we consider to be robust detections at the current time. Further source
releases will occur as observations are accumulated.
Sources are divided into those detected at a significance of greater than 3 sigma (180 in total -
top) and 2-3 sigma (91 in total - bottom).

Significance

In the low count limit, source significance is calculated using the Gehrels error
(Gehrels N., 1986, ApJ, 303, 336).
X-ray Count rate

* Source displays evidence of pile-up, which is not corrected for at this time.
UV magnitudes
==================
X: Counterpart is saturated, photometry unreliable
a: 2 measurements of the counterpart, i.e., counterpart detected in 2 seperate images
b: 2 counterparts at approx similar separation from the X-ray source
Simbad
==================
Candidate counterparts to the X-ray sources, as listed in the Simbad database, are indicated (w/
distance) if they lie within 30" of the XRT position.

The Swift Galactic Plane Survey is tiling 240 square degrees of the Galactic plane, from -60 < l <
60 and -1 < b < -1. Each exposure is approximately 500 seconds in duration, and includes
simultaneous XRT (0.3-10 keV) and UVOT/UVM2 images (2000-2500 Angstroms). All values
reported herein should be considered as preliminary, a comprehensive analysis will be presented in
Reynolds et al. (2012) in prep.
