Following the discovery of the possible VY Scl-type variable 1RXS J075330.1+044606
by Sokolovsky et al. (2012, ATel#3927), we investigated the public photometry for
the source from the Catalina Surveys Data Release
(CSDR1, http://www.catalinadata.org/).
We found that this source was detected 181 times in observations taken between 2005 Mar 21 and
2011 Nov 30 UT. The source exhibits repeated large variations between mag 15 and ~20 in good
agreement with the interpretation of Sokolovsky et al. (2012).
