We report an ongoing optical flare of the blazar B21420+32 (z=0.681). This source is regularly monitored in the framework of the GASP/WEBT project (WEBT; https://www.oato.inaf.it/blazars/webt/). The source has shown broadband activity in recent months (see ATEL #17654, #17745, #17782, #17792). Observations with the LX-200 40-cm telescope of the Saint Petersburg University from May 6 to May 12 (UT) recorded:
JD=2461166.4043 R=14.609 +/- 0.012 (linear polarization degree is PD=13.4% +/- 0.3)
JD=2461168.4287 R=14.189 +/- 0.007 (linear polarization degree is PD=12.5% +/- 0.2)
JD=2461169.3741 R=13.968 +/- 0.007 (linear polarization degree is PD=12.5% +/- 0.2)
JD=2461172.4759 R=13.354 +/- 0.019
We plan to continue the monitoring of this object and strongly encourage further multi-wavelength coverage. The nightly updated light curve for this object can be found on our website website.
