After detecting enhanced gamma-ray emission from the flat spectrum radio quasar 4C +27.50 (B2 2319+27; ATel#15549) we observed this object in the optical R-band with the 60cm telescope of Belogradchik Observatory, Bulgaria. During the evenings of August 15th, 16th and 17th (2022-08-15 UT23:09; 2022-08-17 UT01:59 and 2022-08-18 UT00:50) we obtained R-band magnitudes within the range 15.10 - 15.20, which is about 3.7 mag brighter, than what was previously reported in the Roma-BZCAT (Massaro et al., 2009, A&A 495, 691). R-band polarization rate was typically p < 5%, with the exception of the evening of Aug. 17th, when we measured p = 12+/-3%, EVPA = 26+/-6 deg.

All results are preliminary. This research was partially supported by the Bulgarian National Science Fund of the Ministry of Education and Science under grants KP-06-H28/3 (2018), KP-06-H38/4 (2019) and KP-06-KITAJ/2 (2020). Further observations are encouraged.
