We report on an updated position of the MAXI transient MAXI J1816-195. Utilizing data taken on June 23rd, 2022, we note that the position of MAXI J1816-195 in the Photon Counting mode data taken in this observation differs by almost 40 arc-seconds from the position given in ATEL #15421. The updated position from XRT data is RA/Dec(J2000) = 274.21838, -19.63249

RA(J2000) = 18h 16m 52.41s,
Dec(J2000) = 19d 37m 57.0s,

with an estimated error radius 2.2 arc-seconds (90% confidence). This position is consistent with a star UGPS J181652.34-193755.7 with K=15.7 in the UKIDSS-DR6 Galactic Plane Survey (Lucas et al, 2012), which we suggest as a likely IR counterpart.

In the June 23rd, 2022 observation the Window Timing spectrum was consistent with an absorbed power-law model with photon index = 2.59 +/- 0.07 and absorption 2.63 x 10^22 cm^-2. The flux, was (1.56 +/- 0.04) x 10^-9 erg/s/cm^2 (0.3-10 keV), and (7.1 +/- 0.8) x 10^-9 erg/s, corrected for absorption.
