The black hole X-ray transient IGR J17091-3624, widely known due to its similarity with GRS 1915+105, was detected by the IBIS/ISGRI telescope during recent INTEGRAL observations of the Galactic center field. The source has not been active since its intense outburst in 2016 (ATEL #8742).

The source was first detected (with S/N=6.7) in the IBIS/ISGRI mosaic image measured on February 22, 2022. The flux in the 28-84 keV energy band was at the level of 54+/-10 mCrab. The flux steady increased in the subsequent observations being 44+/-3 on March 2-3, 65+/-6 on March 6-7 and 72+/-5 mCrab on March 8-9.

Independently, on March 14, 2022, the outburst of the source was detected by NICER and Swift (ATEL #15282).

We encourage further observations of this transient at all wavelengths.
