Recently Coppejans et al. (ATel # 14393) reported the discovery of the radio detection from the hydrogen-poor super-luminous supernova SN 2017ens with the Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array (VLA) at 6 GHz, 3.6 years post explosion. We carried out radio observations of SN 2017ens with the upgraded Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope in band 5 (1050-1450 MHz) on 2021 Mar 03.85 UT. We do not detect radio emission and the 3-sigma upper limit at the supernova position (https://www.wis-tns.org/object/2017ens) is 39.3 uJy at a central frequency of 1.26 GHz. It indicates that the radio emission at this frequency is probably absorbed and likely to reveal itself at later epochs. We thank GMRT staff for carrying out these observations.
