We perform optical photometric and polarimetric monitoring of a sample of gamma-bright blazars using 0.7-m AZT-8 telescope (Crimean Astrophysical Observatory), within the frames of GASP/WEBT project. We report that the blazar BL Lac reached R=12.33 in the night of 2020 August 09, TJD 59071.30. It has thus reached the highest historical maximum observed in 2013 November, see ATel#5597. R band light curve for BL Lac can be seen on our web-page. The polarization degree during last nights varies between 1 and 16%. Current high activity state of this prototypical blazar deserves close attention in all wavelengths.
