SGR 1935+2154: A complete catalog of X-ray burst times from Swift/BAT imaging

We temporally complete the list of X-ray flares from SGR 1935+2154 previously reported in ATEL #13748, by adding all flares confirmed in Swift/BAT imaging since source discovery in 2014 (GCN #16520, ATEL #6294). We do not include flares detected in BAT rates that likely originate from SGR 1935+2154 but lack BAT imaging confirmation.

We remind members of the community interested in monitoring the flaring of this source that relying on successful triggers from Swift/BAT (as reported via GCN) to track the flare activity of known sources like SGR 1935+2154 is not recommended. BAT triggering on known sources is biased, due to how the triggering criteria are determined. BAT will only successfully retrigger on a known source if the flare intensity detected in the image is above that of the previous triggered flare by a certain threshold. This threshold has typically been set as twice the intensity of the previous flare, in the image domain and without partial coding corrections. We annotate the flare list below with a `T` to denote those flares that resulted in successful BAT triggers. Flux estimates for specific flares can be provided on request.
