We report the following classification of AT2019mhm from spectroscopic observations with the FLOYDS spectrograph on the 2-m Faulkes-South telescope at Siding Spring Observatory, New South Wales, Australia. The target was supplied by BOSS. Observations were made on 2019 August 4 UT. The classification was performed with SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024).
Name | RA (J2000) | Dec (J2000) | z | Type | Phase | Notes
AT2019mhm | 19:11:24.060 | -57:03:18.0 | 0.0106 | II | 0 | (1)
Notes:
When the redshift is given to 2 decimal places, it is derived from the SN spectrum. Otherwise, the redshift is determined from the host galaxy.
(1) The spectrum is dominated by P-Cygni H-alpha emission with a FWHM in the redshifted emission of 11,400 km/s. We infer that this source is a SN II at or around optical maximum.
