The Nordic Optical Telescope (NOT) Unbiased Transient Survey (NUTS; ATel #8992) reports the spectroscopic observation of the nuclear transient ZTF17aaazdba / ASASSN-19dj in the host galaxy KUG 0810+227. We flagged the transient in the public ZTF Alert Stream via MARS (http://mars.lco.global), since it occurred in the center of a post-starburst galaxy identified for the aSEATiDE survey (PI: Arcavi). The transient was later independently reported as ASASSN-19dj / AT 2019azh in ATel #12526.

The transient was observed with the 2.56 m Nordic Optical Telescope equipped with ALFOSC (range 350-950 nm; resolution 1.6 nm FWHM) on 2019-02-21, starting 23:51 UT. A 900s spectrum was obtained using ALFOSC grism #4 with a 1.3" slit (with seeing ~2"). The spectrum shows an increase in the blue continuum flux compared to the host galaxy spectrum from SDSS, and no discernible new spectral features.
