Rupak Roy (IUCAA), A. J. Nayana (UAE University), Poonam Chandra (NCRA-TIFR) and Dipankar Bhattacharya (IUCAA) report on behalf of a larger collaboration:

We have observed the Eddington-limited tidal disruption flair ASASSN-19dj/AT2019azh (Brimacombe et al. ATel# 12526, Heikkila et al. ATel# 12529, Barbarino et al. ATel# 12530, van Velzen et al. ATel# 12568, Perez-Torres et al. ATel# 12870, Pasham et al. ATel# 13221, Liu et al. 2019) with the upgraded Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (uGMRT) on 2019 November 8.02 UT in the band 5 (1000 - 1450 MHz). We have clearly detected the radio emission at the transient position. The flux density of the transient in this band is 2.17 +/- 0.04 mJy at a central frequency of ~1260 MHz. The host KUG 0180+227 is an E+A galaxy at z=0.022 (D=96 Mpc), and was not detected in the archival FIRST image in 1420 MHz. The limiting sky-rms of the FIRST image is 0.134 mJy/beam.

More observations are planned. We thank uGMRT staff for carrying out the observations.
