We report the classification of AT2017flo/PS17duu (TNSTR 12602) using an optical spectrum taken with the Low Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (LRIS) on the Keck-I 10 m telescope at 2017-07-20.25 UT. AT2017flo/PS17duu was discovered in the Kepler/K2 C14 as part of the ongoing KEGS search.
Using Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 119) we find a good match with a Type Ia supernova close to maximum light at a redshift of z=0.079, consistent with the redshift measured from narrow emission lines seen at this position.
