We obtained optical spectra of ASASSN-17it (ATel #10555) and ASASSN-17jl (AT 2017foy) on UT 2017 July 22.4 with the Goodman Spectrograph on the SOAR telescope. Classification with SNID (Blondin and Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) indicates that both sources are normal Type Ia supernovae, with ASASSN-17it at an approximate age of +21 days and ASASSN-17jl near peak. The redshifts of ASASSN-17it and ASASSN-17jl are consistent with their proposed hosts at z=0.044 and z=0.020, respectively.
