We carried out NIR photometry of the source BZB J2012+4628 on October 11th,2016 (MJD 2457672.712). At this time the source had flux values corresponding to J = 13.169 +/- 0.03, H = 12.214 +/- 0.05 and Ks = 11.357 +/- 0.05. At the epoch of the 2Mass Survey the source flux corresponded to H = 13.578 +/- 0.04. While on MJD 2457377 the flux was H = 13.88 +/- 0.04. Hence, the object has increased at 1.66 magnitudes in the H band since then. Our observations were carried out with the 2.1m telescope of the Guillermo Haro Observatory operated by the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (Mexico), equipped with the instrument CANICA a NIR camera. We strongly encourage further multiwavelength coverage of this interesting object.
