FIRE NIR spectroscopic classifications of optical transients

We report two spectroscopic classifications using near-infrared spectra (range 800-2400 nm) obtained with the FoldedPort Infrared Echellette (FIRE) spectrograph on the 6.5-m Magellan Baade Telescope.

1) Also known as PSN J01585369+0535254. Similar to SN2011fe at 8d (Hsiao et al. 2013). Redshift from presumed host, UGC 01461. Also classified in ATEL #5700. 
2) Similar to SN2012ar at -2d (CBET 3041). Redshift from supernova feature. Also classified in ATEL #5700.
