We report detection of the optical counterpart (internal name: iPTF13djw) of Swift J00431492+4119130 (ATel #5384) from the iPTF daily monitoring of M31. It was first detected on MJD=56543.4 (UT Sep 8.4, 2013), with R=18.2 mag. It brightened to R=16.6 mag on MJD=56546.4. Nothing was found at the same location before MJD=56542.4 (typical limiting magnitude R=21). Its optical light curve is consistent with a nova in M31.
