The Type II supernova SN 2020ad (ATel # 13387) in IC 4351 has been observed with the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) on 6th Jan 2020 from UT 19:00 to 24:00. We detected a radio source at a position consistent with that measured optically, and flux densities of 93 +/- 25 micro-Jy and 70 +/- 50 micro-Jy at 5.5 and 9 GHz, respectively. Monitoring SN 2020ad at these and other frequencies is continuing, and further multi-wavelength follow-up is encouraged. We would like to extend our thanks to the ATCA staff for enabling these observations. The ATCA is part of the Australia Telescope National Facility which is funded by the Commonwealth of Australia for operation as a National Facility managed by CSIRO.
