Spectroscopic classification of AT2019lcx (ASASSN-19ro) as a Type Ia Supernova

On July 30, 2019, we obtained a spectrum of the optical transient AT2019lcx (ASASSN-19ro) in the galaxy 2MASX J04585777-2206038 with the Wide Field Spectrograph (WiFeS - Dopita et al., 2007, ApSS, 310, 255) on board 2.3m ANU telescope at Siding Spring Observatory. We classify the transient as a Type Ia Supernova at a redshift of 0.0395 during a phase of seventeen days post-maximum by performed spectral fitting with SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024).
