We report the following classifications of optical transients from spectroscopic observations with the Kast spectrograph on the Shane telescope. Targets were supplied by ATLAS. All observations were made on 2019 Jul 6 UT. Classifications were performed with SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024).
Name | IAU Name | RA (J2000) | Dec (J2000) | z | Type | Phase | Notes
ATLAS19nzt | AT2019iks | 15:17:54.27 | +20:50:12.82 | 0.040 | Ia | +7 d | (1)

Notes:
When the redshift is given to 2 decimal places, it is derived from the SN spectrum. Otherwise, the redshift is determined from the host galaxy. (1) Relatively red continuum with rest-frame Na D EW ~ 0.8 A. We measure an Si II 6355 velocity of -10,800 km/s. (2) Projected offset of ~28 kpc from nominal host galaxy, CGCG 013-107. We measure an Si II 6355 velocity of -13,000 km/s.
