We report optical photometric observations of the 2016 eruption (see ATels #9848,#9852,#9853,#9857) of the recurrent nova M31N 2008-12a (Henze et al. 2014, 2015a, 2015b; Darnley et al. 2014, 2015, 2016). The data were obtained between 2016 Dec 13.96 UT - Dec 14.15 UT with the 1-m telescope, equipped with a SBIG STX 16803 detector with Omega SDSS r' and i' filters, located at the Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida. The derived magnitudes in r' and i' band were calibrated with 10 SDSS standard stars in the field of this nova with 600 sec exposure time per frame.

In addition, data obtained on 2016 Dec 12 with the 0.65-m telescope at the Ondrejov Observatory are also reported. This telescope is operated jointly by the Astronomical Institute of ASCR and the Astronomical Institute of the Charles University of Prague, Czech Republic. It uses a Moravian Instruments G2-3200 CCD camera (with a Kodak KAF-3200ME sensor and standard BVRI photometric filters) mounted at the prime focus. The exposure times for observations conducted in V, R and I were 1080, 1260 and 1080 sec, respectively. The derived V, R and I magnitudes were calibrated using 8 standard stars in the field of the nova.
