We have observed the onset of the eruption of Small Magellanic
Cloud Nova MASTER OT J010603.18-744715.8
(ATel #9621),
with a robotic DSLR camera from Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil.
The results of aperture photometry on unfiltered optical images
are reported below. Measurements with upper limits have 100 sec effective
integration time. The following images have 50 sec integration time.
Listed magnitudes are referred to HIP 4415 (V = 8.85 +- 0.01).
At the level of V ~ 12.9, the eruption can be traced back to 2016 Oct 9, 5.30 +- 0.1 UT.
We have a few additional measurements on October 16 and 17, including one taken
with the 1.6-m telescope at OPD/LNA, in Brazil.
