Optical spectra (range 350-760nm) of the supernova candidates ASASSN-16go/AT2016cyk (ATel #9195) and ASASSN-16gq/AT2016cym (ATel #9199) were obtained on UT 2016 July 4 with the F. L. Whipple Observatory 1.5-m telescope (+ FAST). Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024) indicates that ASASSN-16gq/AT2016cym is a normal Type Ia SN at +10 days after peak. ASASSN-16go/AT2016cyk has a blue continuum with broad (FWHM ~ 10000 km/s) and shallow H-alpha line in emission, indicating a young Type II SN.
