Spectroscopic Classification of 5 ASAS-SN Transients

Optical spectra of the supernova candidates ASASSN-16fd/AT2016cdb (ATel #9057), ASASSN-16fe/AT2016cdc (ATel #9057), ASASSN-16fg/AT2016cky (ATel #9059), ASASSN-16fl/AT2016cnx (ATel #9079), and ASASSN-16fv/AT2016cqz (ATel #9123) on UT 2016 June 8-10 with WFCCD mounted on the du Pont 2.5-m telescope and with MagE mounted on the Magellan/Baade 6.5-m telescope at Las Campanas Observatory. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code (SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024) show that all 5 transients are Type Ia SNe.
