AMI-LA 15 GHz observations of AT 2016bln (=iPTF 16abc)

We observed the young type Ia supernova 2016bln (=iPTF16abc; ATel#8907, #8909, #8910) at 15 GHz with the Arcminute Microkelvin Imager (AMI-LA) on 2016 Apr 06.17 and Apr 08.17. We do not detect the supernova, the 3sigma upper limits being 150 uJy and 130 uJy respectively. These correspond to radio luminosities of 1.8e27 erg/s/Hz and 1.5e27 erg/s/Hz at 100 Mpc (z=0.0235; ATel #8909).
