We report an optical spectrum (range 340-900 nm) of AT 2016ajf that was obtained on UT Feb.19.6 2016 with the 2.4-m telescope (+YFOSC) at LiJiang Gaomeigu Station of Yunnan Astronomical Observatories. The spectrum is characterized by relatively strong Si II 5972 absorption, consistent with a low luminosity type Ia supernova at few days before maximum light. Cross-correlation with a library of supernova spectra using the spectral comparison tool SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024 ) shows that it matches with SN 2005bl at t = - 6 days. Removing the redshift of 0.02 for the host galaxy NGC 1278, we derive the expansion velocity of about 9700 km/s from absorption minimum of Si II 6355 line.
