We report photometry of SN2016adj on 9.95 February 2016 in the J,H,Ks bands with the Mount Abu 1.2 meter telescope (+ PRL Near-Infrared Imager/Spectrograph). Using 2MASS field stars for photometric calibration, we report near-IR magnitudes of J=10.54, H=9.85 and Ks=9.52 (typical error 0.05). A spectrum, at a resolution of 1000, in the 0.9 to 2.4 micron range has also been obtained and is under analysis. Further observations are planned.
