WiFeS Classification of 2016adj (Cen A) as a Type II-b

We report spectroscopic observations of 2016adj (Marples et al. 2016, ATel #8651 in Centaurus A with the Wide Field Spectrograph (WiFeS - Dopita et al., 2007, ApSS, 310, 255) on the ANU 2.3m telescope at Siding Spring Observatory, NSW Australia, using the B3000/R3000 gratings (3500-9800 A, 1 A resolution). Attempted classification was made with SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) which gave fits to several type II templates, with good fits to a type II-b. The spectrum is highly reddened, as was noted in Stritzinger et al. 2016, ATel #8657 and Kiyota et al. 2016, ATel #8654, and has a broad Halpha feature with P-Cygni absorption.
